Kaarnika's first birthday was celebrated with an outdoor photoshoot in a Madurai garden, using natural light and a bougainvillea backdrop to capture candid toddler expressions. She's photographed in a traditional pattu pavadai for the milestone portraits, and in a pink frock for the more playful frames — sitting on a wooden toy cart surrounded by plush pandas, and settled inside a giant pumpkin prop for one of the gallery's more whimsical shots.
The milestone itself is marked with a "1 YEAR" prop and a "365 DAYS" board surrounded by teddy toys on the grass, alongside a golden-hour family portrait of her father lifting her while her mother looks on. In between the posed moments, the gallery keeps the candid ones too — a milk-bottle feeding moment caught mid-sip, her mother photographing her on a smartphone, and even a close-up of a personalised name sticker on the family car, a small detail that says as much about the day as the portraits do.
